Most days with rating over 800:Can u also post the list of test batsmen and bowlers who spent most of their career above 800 rankings points in batting or bowling department ? It would be very helpful.
That list isn't too kind on modern players who didn't have to wait about 2 years for their next test. Most days with rating over 800:

Seems like a good list to me? Swap out a couple of names on each list and you could easily claim this as top 25 of all time in each discipline. That list isn't too kind on modern players who didn't have to wait about 2 years for their next test.
Batting : Sunil Gavaskar and Greg Chappell.Seems like a good list to me? Swap out a couple of names on each list and you could easily claim this as top 25 of all time in each discipline.
Most notable absence in my eyes is Wasim, even though I think he's a bit overated.
Gavaskar is 36th with 1162 days over 800 (mostly of them 1979-1982).Batting : Sunil Gavaskar and Greg Chappell.
Take the gap of that Bradman one that is third or so on your list. In reality that gap is the biggest because those couple of points to get from, say, 958 to 960 are an absurd amount of runs. Neither ratio nor number express who has the largest gap with an exponential scale. Until you remove the exponent, I don't think you can do this.Lara had just scored 26, 44, 2, 1, 2, 2 in a series in Australia, and dropped over 100 rating points.
If you look at the top 20 #1s by ratio between 1st and 2nd (instead of by gap), you get similar lists but even more favouring early players (Bannerman and Spofforth go to the top).
