Wait, Amla is a WP adoptee... Didn't help him much today.

Duminy striking the ball nicely so far...

It seems like only yesterday SA teams were filled with WP boys and they would perform for the Newlands faithful.

Come on JP. Let's go ! :D

Nah, never counted him and Steyn. They hardly played.

Well, JP looking really good... so to Markram.

Spin to come though.

Tough ask for our newbies against the quality of these wrist spinners.

Klaasen is generally uncomplicated. If anything that is what will give him his best chance to score runs against these guys.

EDIT : There he goes already.

What riches to strike, twin leggies with at least eight-fifteen years of playing ahead. For all the wickets Ashwin and Jadeja have taken in India over the years, nothing has inspired as much joy and optimism as watching these two in tandem. If we had any sense, we would *always* play at least one of them, preferably Kuldeep, in all formats.

Zondo & Miller both debuted for the Dolphins whilst schoolboys.

Played lots of cricket together since teenagers..

Only positive I can come up with.

The Kuldeep delivery to Markram was a beaut.

Also, one of Markram's pulls today was breathtaking.

One thing I genuinely don't like about the modern game is the inflexibility of the batting orders.

Baptism by fire for the newer players. I actually don't mind this. Atleast this way we can really test the resolve of our fringe players instead of dominating bilaterals and dissapointing in the big matches. India been too good.

Yeah, for all the gloating over analysis and thinktanks, this would have been an actual tactical decision as opposed to the Hail Mary promotion of sloggers up the order.

Pretty brutal kicking, this. SA's younger players will hopefully learn a lot from it.

This is the first time India have played so well in ODIs in SA, they have competed in Tests in the past but usually got smashed in bilateral ODIs even with Sachin, Ganguly etc. in the team. Obviously playing against a weakened team helps, but these legspinners have added a new dimension.
