Don't tell me you are not aware of it.
I honestly wasn't. I only heard of the Murali Vijay-Karthik thing on CW, too. How did it become common knowledge? Surprised it didn't turn into a huge scandal when it happened, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

It's comforting to say that we've competed on this tour or whatever, but the sad truth is that the batting has been diabolical. In 4 innings we've only had 3 good knocks. Low scoring games have meant that the margins of defeat look smaller but these are pretty comprehensive losses. Only the bowling has stood up.

Yeah the top 6 has honestly been kind of disgraceful. They're flying completely under the radar because of the quality of the attack they're facing, but this is honestly so far from adequate or acceptable it isn't funny.

7/89 is a bit grim tbh. And on closer inspection, I see a run-out and one caught-at-fine-leg which is hardly making the bowlers bowl you out.
plus Hardik flayed at one short and wide that could have been left.

Ofcourse now is when Nohit decide to show some application and knuckle down. Man I hate Nohit. He gets opportunity after opportunity while being a dumb **** and not contributing, whilst others are hardly given the same leash. He then begins to score and contribute and keeps his place in the side on merit whereas other players can be the best performer in one game and get dropped in the next for no good reason.

It would be pretty funny if Rohit got a pretty but utterly useless 54 or something like that, and thus placated all the media pundits.

Kohli's been excellent, Vijay had a half decent knock in the first innings.

Otherwise it's been absolute trash.

I guess both Vijay and Karthik play for same state in domestic matches and they might have already played together many times and that should not be an issue. They might have moved on with it. We are just hyping it

None of this is surprising, they were basically ****ed when they ended yesterday 3 down. Could have afforded maximum one wicket if they wanted to have a chance, given the length of the tail.

To add to this, hard to single out any one of the top 5 or 6. Vijay has been uncharacteristically loose, Che seems to be in a funny head space and needs to put the blinkers on, Dhawan and Rahul have been too flaky (and, thanks to this weird rotation thingy there's no consensus on which the best opening combo is). And Rohit has been, well, Rohit.
