Where is Daniel Sams from ?
Randwick-Petersham.

He went over to NZ at the start of the season to play a bit of First Class cricket there as an overseas player (hence the FC record, if that's why you're asking?) after missing out on a NSW contract and did really well; now he's back over to play the BBL.

That hit from Wells was awesome. Just as I was about to say junior boof not getting a hit felt a bit wrong.

You know, Carey wouldn't be the worst in LO formats given the choices.
I think he's a bit like Paine was back in the day in that he'd probably have to open if you wanted him to be useful, but you'd not really want to waste the opening spot on the seventh best batsman in the side.

They're still doing this absurdly low-res highlights thing, every day. I wonder what the go is.
I guess that's their way of showing the highlights without pinged by C9 for infringing on their rights, because C9 are ****s when it comes to the BBL.

Has the Nine team even ever referred to the BBL let alone shown footage of it? Especially during the early season before t20is begin and some justification for who you're seeing play is required for regular folks.

No overs for O'Keefe.
I want to say "well maybe they just had no batsman to pick because Moz and possibly Nevill were taken ill the day of the game" so they went in with 6 bowlers, but I know that's not the reason

I didn't really mind the selection as such but the captaincy was **** -- O'Keefe should've had a bowl. It's pretty rare to see any teams only use five bowlers these days, let alone when the opposition scores 160+ and they've actually selected six proper bowlers.

I feel like the Sixers have done it a few times. Notably in the Travis Head game 2 seasons ago
