Honestly though that second one is a horrible decision. You already know it's bouncing a bit when Anderson is bowling, why would you give it when it's hit the thigh pad?

Yeah, I think Marsh's stride was a little deceptive in the first one - the area it hit him was far more conventional for an LBW. Smarsh also has a couple of inches of height on Paine, too.

I don't think Anderson is bowling *that* short. Looks more-or-less like his natural length, it's just this pitch is genuinely bouncing. On an English deck those two reviewed shouts hit just below the bails IMO.

Obviously he needs to adjust to the conditions and he should be held accountable for that, but I don't think he's bowling egregiously short wrt the two close shouts.
