i'm going to copy paste something i sent to a friend on facebook

i heard from vaughan something that offended me
"you've got a lot of cheap dismissals from australia this morning, dave warner too, that's just the way he plays though"
like why does warner get a free pass for getting out cheaply for literally like sucking ass
"that's what you get with dave warner"
that is a PROBLEM that is BAD

Cracking Test so far. Has the potential to be like four years ago where one Aussie partnership turns our promising position into a disaster. From what I’ve seen we’ve bowled pretty well.

All slightly disappointing now - looks like I slept through the good bit, something that often happens at my age
More information there than was strictly necessary.

But yeah, these two have pulled it back very well. Probably honours even, but England will be disappointed that they haven't managed to take any more wickets after the start they got.

Maybe stating the obvious, but today has shown how badly we miss Stokes. Woakes really doesn't come close.

Todays scores:
Malan: 28
Ali: 25
Bairstow: 9
Woakes: 0
Broad: 20
Ball: 14
Anderson: 5*
Bancroft: 5
Warner: 26
Khawaja: 11
Handscomb: 14
Smith: 64*
Marsh: 44*

So, plenty of decent starts, but until late in the day, nobody kicked on. With Smith, it's class. Not so sure on Marsh. Did batting get easier by the end of the day?

Batting is pretty easy full stop unless you're facing Lyon, and so long as you don't mind not scoring for a while.

This is why I hate Marsh so much. Batted real well and played some beautiful shots. If you didn't know better you'd think this guy is a gun. The definition of rocks and diamonds. Will probably nick off early tomorrow now he's done enough to retain his spot.

But the pommies should fear Smitteh. This is ominous stuff.

Bowled very well, especially early.

Very good bowling until Moeen's fingers got tired. Woakes let the pressure off and Ball wasn't great, but generally the bowling was giving nothing away.

Still unsure why they were so keen to fast track him back from injury then. Getting the impression it's just because he's played Test cricket before.

Has any world class batsman had as much rubbish said about him for no logical reason as Steve Smith?

It's always so bittersweet 'when' Marsh scores runs.

We need them pretty bad but you know thats enough to justify his selection until the next injury

I think a lot is ego driven

Warne kept referring to him as one of the world's batsmen

No Shane, he averages nearly 10 runs more than the next best batsman in world cricket - that's another planet
