Honestly at this point I'd be tempted to have a flurry on England. Reminding me on 2010/11 right now.
Worryingly, my thoughts exactly.

Bowling was supposed to be our strength. But we can't even dismiss two guys who are proven failures.

This pitch though isn't helping our bowlers at all.

KP saying what could have been said in one-quarter the number of words.

Also advocating the strategy that was used very successfully against himself last time around.

You know what England dominating the first day at Brisbane also reminds me of? 2013/14.
difference is that was our bowlers dominating. This is at least encouraging to see our bats (especially 2 that we were most worried about) standing up.

Your last sentence provides the answer

Other than the odd ball, it has done absolutely nothing and there is no pace in it whatsoever

These are some of the best batting conditions you'll ever see and the batsmen have played well

Since England sucked on the first day in 10-11 and bowled on the first day in 13-14 we can therefore safely say that no parallels can be drawn with the current match.

You are hilarious

This is a road and Warner would have been 150 no by now. They haven't really gotten away. Just needs to stay patient and hope the wicket quickens up

Of course and I'm mostly being facetious. Just pointing out that assuming a five match series will go a certain way based on the first session and a half isn't always the wisest move.
