Did Comms just say Broad has had 7 catches put down in this series alone? That's mental
How many years now have we been persisting with the fantasy that England are anything but a very, very mediocre catching side? Even at their #1 peak under Strauss, they shelled tons of easy catches.

Bewildering that it has never gotten better.

Not sure anyone's been under that illusion. The South Africa series was the best we've been in years. Now we've reverted to type.

Read a good article looking at fielding stats today. Tracking the misses | The Cricket Monthly | ESPN Cricinfo

The difference between sides aren't massive long term. Like all teams England have had good series/extended periods and bad ones.

Though looking at the fact Broad has as many drops off him as Anderson and more than Steyn (despite less wickets than both) it suggests he's been pretty unlucky in particular.

This is a very general "we" tbf. Sky commentators always seem surprised when catches are dropped.

Seems like a tall order - 22 overs left to go. If they can hang in there, they'll have at least wiped out the lead, you'd think.
