Yeah, that game is seared in my memory. 51 overs is ridiculous.

Chase bowling rubbish here, Nas is spot on. Just floating balls outside off is not threatening.

If he'd got out to that, there should have been a public stoning, I mean he nearly nicked it.

2 wides and a no ball to start final over. Gabriel looks so tired, Bishoo bowling 2 overs is unbelievable on a pitch that has turned.

Windies had another good day though, they've bowled well and we've acquitted ourselves pretty ok. Stoneman did well, Root given another life and needs to punish them fully tomorrow.

Game fairly evenly poised - we need 280 more as a minimum.

If we had been offered this position at the start of the 2nd innings I think we would have taken it. A good session first up tomorrow and we will probably become favourites.

Been impressed with how calm Malan has looked at the crease for someone at the start of their career.

Fair to say the top order has exceeded my expectations. Still a long way to go, with a lot relying on Root, but the game really is poised now.

Would have been neater if we'd finished scores level, just saying.

Hasn't Chase looked pretty good in a, um, chase?

Or rather he's scored a couple of good last innings knocks in his short career.
Yeah he scored two great tons against India and Pakistan albeit in situations where he was looking to save the match, not chase a target down.

Can we say that England have so far yet to replace the batting prowess of Strauss, Bell and Collingwood?

It's simply incredible how bad we've become where catches are concerned. What's that six or seven in this game already? F#cking pathetic. We've worked so hard to get ahead of this game and for once both the batting and bowling have clicked into gear. But time after time the catching lets us down. I'd say we're still in a good position and a few quick wickets tomorrow would certainly turn the heat up on England. But the sad thing is we could be 100 odd runs ahead and have them four down right now if we'd taken our catches in both innings. I don't fancy a 200 plus chase tbh. IF we can managed to keep it to 180 or something then it would be a great chance for us. Anything above 220 puts the game in England's hands I think.

The Bishoo situation is just utterly ridiculous. If Chase was holding up an end then fair enough, but he's not been doing that so why the hell isn't Holder bowling Bishoo? It's stupid and just personifies his lack of experience where captaincy is concerned. If they don't trust Bishoo then don't f#cking pick him, it's that simple.

Anyway our hopes are in our pace attack tomorrow. Come out firing, get Root and Stokes cheaply and then things will get very interesting. Wickets have tumbled on all three mornings thus far haven't they? so hopefully that continues. All in all I would have taken this position with both hands before this test started so let's see what happens.

Well with Stokes and Moeen we have basically covered one of them but Root has replaced KP and Bell and Strauss haven't been replaced at all since both got dropped. Can see why they went back to Ballance as he at least scored runs for a while then was in great form this summer but he has a horrible technique that hasn't been altered unlike how Bairstow changed his game when he was technically found out.

Do you think they're not bowling Bishoo because he's not from Barbados? Could be politics going on here; maybe the team wanted Cummings, but the coach said Bishoo.

If that is the case then they are all as pathetic as the players they have dropped who they claim aren't 100% behind the team as they are the same.

Well the powers that be decided a half fit Woakes is a better option (than TRJ).
Well that's just great. Dropping a guy who's averaging somewhere near 20 isn't brilliant at the best of times, but especially when it leaves Jimmy as something close to a one man attack because the other quicks aren't at the races right now.
