Tickets have been selling really well for this d/n test. Sold out for day 2 and very close to sold out for 1 and 3.

Mark Wood reveals on @5liveSport that his current injury (bruised heel) was due to putting the wrong insoles into his boots in Lord's Test

Wood seems particularly thick or at least ditzy

Does the stuff you do significantly impact on your ability to do your job?

I guess that at least him getting injured and us finding better replacements it puts him back down the pecking order and didn't cost us that much as we still won the series.

he also chose to play for durham at the back end of last summer, knowing full well he was injured, further injuring himself in the process.

bloke makes some poor choices.

Never done Lords, if they keep producing pitches like SA series which was excellent I might though rather than their usual **** roads.

Pardon my ignorance WW but does the WI have any promising left arm seamers?? I don't follow WI cricket as closely as I used to
Well, there are some knocking around at first class level. Delorn Johnson and Sheldon Cotterell are two. Then there's some on the fringes like Mcsween and Obed Mccoy. Whilst at u19 level there's a kid for Leewards called Javiar Spencer who's meant to be something special. Would be great to finally produce a quality left-arm pacer but it seems a little way off right now.

None of them are a patch on Ian Bradshaw. The late Tony Cozier would bring up every ODI that he was a chartered accountant, usually in reference to calculating his economy rates.

Should be a 2-0 to England with one washed out I reckon. If there are 3 results then we win 3-0. This looks a very poor touring side and don't think they have a chance at all.

We're nowhere near as poor as people think, a lot of this stuff I've seen written is based on ignorance because they haven't heard of most of our batsmen. This group actually give a crap about West Indies cricket which is nice, they will fight hard and I truly believe a few of those batsmen will make excellent test cricketers. Still, I agree with your scoreline, England will be too good for us in their own conditions, particularly at this stage in our development, we are just too inexperienced.

Looking forward to seeing us bowl against that England top order though. That's our best chance.

I have no doubt your bowlers could spark a few collapses during England inninngs(though I could see them tiring out and Bairstow-Stokes-Ali fighting back hard)

but I really have my doubts about Hetmyer and Shai Hope. I've seen them bat a few times now and they haven't impressed me really

Hope I'm wrong

Doubt you'll see much of Hetmeyer. They seem to have decided this is an experience tour for him. I don't think he lasted long enough against Pakistan to show what he is about. I've seen enough of him to know he has ludicrous amounts of shot-making talent. He does need to tighten up a few things in defence and stop losing concentration after reaching 50. He is only 19 though, these are early days. I love watching him bat and I think English cricket fans will too if he does happen top get a chance and get a start.

Shai Hope is awesome. I honestly think he has the technique to succeed. He has now started performing excellently in ODIs and he hit a match winning test innings against Pakistan recently in tricky conditions that everyone else struggled with. I'm really hoping I'm right and he puts it all together during this tour.
