Haha who cares? They won. Makes for a final Test that actually matters. I guess someone other than Australia in 5 years time could beat them after all.

Great game. Well done Lions.

That last penalty was ridiculous. As Kieran Read said: "so next time I can just jump in the air and noone's allowed to tackle me?" ridiculous call.

SBW - I think the ankle and the drive from the tackle meant that he got to the player faster than he'd intended and hence the shoulder went in when he was in the preparatory phase. Still, the new laws are that it's his responsibility to ensure he tackles safely. I think yellow would've been more appropriate but when the head is involved they've been taking a hard line so it's justifiable.

Think the crucial moment was Mako getting binned. Loins barely gave a penalty away after that.

As Howzers (I think) said before the tests started yer Loins are going to have to play out of their skins and get the rub of the green to beat NZ and that's pretty much what we saw today. Even down to 14 the ABs put themselves in a position where they really should have won.

If Barrett had kicked like last week they'd already have been out of sight before yer Loins realised that they still had to actually play rugby to win.

FWIW I think the SBW call was spot on. Lined up Watson, no hands (nor even an attempt to look like he was using them) & catches his man head high. Current climate and that's red all day long.

Can people stop quoting social, after having made every post all tour a whinge about the ref I know what he's got to say.

I don't think we played as well as we did last week, oddly, but no doubt NZ were a poor imitation of themselves.

Gatland vindicated picking Faz at 12, but it rather begs the question why it hasn't happened sooner.

Still must have come as a helluva shock to the AB's to come across a ref who actually had the balls to call it in their back yard.

tbf Hansen deserves some credit afterwards for not complaining about it at all. Not in the interview I read, anyway.

First ever All Black to be sent off in a home test, so the Beeb reports, anyway.

You're right though, I think most NZders have been admirably even handed in their assessment of it. It was a bad one, ref made the right call, credit to the Lions.

Hard nation to dislike.

Come to think about it, I don't think I've ever watched a game in the modern era so completely controlled by territory. Actually, 2011 RWC final was similar in some regards.

Aaron Cruden has been making some poor decision-making. I really rate him as a playmaker so it's hard to watch. I just don't think he fits as a bench player; he's a starter or he's sitting out completely, for me.
