*Official* English Football Season 2016-17

"Too good to go down" is one of the laziest footy clichés out there, but Palace's squad looks the best of any of the teams who've flirted with relegation this year. Dann, van Aanholt, Cabaye, Townsend, Zaha, Benteke...

I imagine having a less shitehouse manager has helped the cause.

Meanwhile, yay Gunners.

An FA Cup would be a fitting end to the Wenger epoch.

Don't see much football but that second half was some of the greatest football I've seen. I don't even support Barcelona but even I feel a bit grateful for that last minute goal. I can only imagine what his team-mates feel. Ridiculously good run from Sergio Roberto as well.

**** me, that was one of the best games all season.
Incredible game. You never seem to see so much goalmouth action when top EPL sides play each other for some reason. Are the defenses better, or the attacks not so good, or the midfleiders not creative enough, or what? Anyway, completely worth staying up and enduring a headache tomorrow at work.

Still feel it'll be in vain for Barca since Madrid have a game in hand and just don't lose much to weak teams. Even today, they looked likelier to win after going a goal and a man down, and nearly did.

Messi's celebration was class as well. Having seen him after that Juventus loss, knew some buttons were pushed. Love the man.

A lot of it had to do with Barcelona being absolutely woeful at the back. Made for a much more fun game.

Wtf was Ramos thinking re: that challenge on Messi. Total madness.
Standard Ramos.

The number of times he's been sent off over the years for launching Messi into the air is staggering.

Meanwhile I'd like Arsenal to throw all the money at Mbappe please. Goal tonight was Henry-esque.

Has not been the most enjoyable latter part of the season but thank **** we got the job done. Now to somehow keep Rafa.

Feel like we've already played our best football for the year now. Hopefully can keep it together. Fulham too good over weekend :(

At least playoffs guaranteed. 25 wins, 80+ points, ridiculous season. Would have bitten your hand off for 2/3 of those points at the start of the season.

Yeah I think so.

I doubt they win the seven or eight in a row they just did without the run we went on. Danny Cowley said as much too. They rose to the challenge.

Just hope we win those damn play offs
