***Official*** Australia in India 2017

This is what India did in Sydney 2004 lol.

You have to go for the series win when you have the opposition on the mat. India are there for the taking here, and series wins in India are pretty hard to come by.
Yeah it's kind of ridiculous that the Aussie supporters / Comms are thinking in that fasion, maybe that's their way of not putting pressure on themselves but honest to god this is the best chance that they will ever have, you go for the kill in this test, no playing for safety ****.

Nice time for a lunch break. Warner definitely not getting out for another half hour.

I'm tipping he's out within an over or two of resuming.

So, road? Or just a decent, quicker-than-Indian-average pitch?
There's definitely bounce available, no real turn as of yet, I think it comes down to a first innings shootout, essentially India have to come close to or match Australia's first innings total for them to draw this game.

Batting into day 3 is going for the kill. If they bat until lunch tomorrow and then 1.5 days in the second innings its the same time wasted batting. Batting once is the most sure way to win with this Indian teams propensity to go bigger than the tourists big first up scores

You obviously bat till tea not lunch tommorow, and given the pitch and scoring rate you are looking at 500+ easily if that happens.

Likelihood of pitch breaking up and being difficult to bat/taking a lot of turn on days 4 and 5?

That will be the key as to whether we get a result here for mine. Although still very early days of course, 1/130 in the first session of a test looks pretty ominous.

Rahane has to score big in this test. Pitch won't suit Pujara at all but Rahane should enjoy the pace. This next session will probably make it clear whether we'll be batting to win the test or to save it.

450 looks like the bare minimum they'll get right now.

Probably a lot more TBH.
