Nice to see India being bullied after so many wrote Australia off (for good reason) but still, their confidence just became arrogance.

Using up reviews like this making no sense. You can understand Vijay's one maybe but Rahul's one was extremely dumb in the situation

No change in luck for India... Rahul given despite appearing to have been hit outside the line. Hawkeye has the ball about 10% in the line.. and 90% outside the line. No benefit of the doubt whatsoever for Rahul. Wish the umpires were umpiring like this when Smith was batting.
Expecting Kohli to get a bad decision now, while India have no reviews left.

India continue to use the DRS as a fifty-fifty technology - like the toss of a coin. They did it years ago and then blamed the technology for it - the great man Tendulkar leading the anti-DSLR charge instead of thinking what they (him included) were doing wrong.
The BCCI honchos, never known for their sense of logic, went along with him. The Shastris, Gavaskars etc (paid millions to be their masters' voice) - parroted it in the box and the Indian masses did what they always do - follow the lead of those on the big screen and their cricketing 'Gods'. Manjrekar was the first Indian commentator to speak in favor of DRS and promptly was dropped from the commentary panel. He learnt his lesson after years in the cold storage and publicly stated that he was wrong about his support of the technology and was reinstated.
They never learnt that asking jumpy wicketkeepers, or ridiculously optimistic bowlers like Jadeja is as bad as a senior batsman like Sachin asking his junior non-striker to tell the great man he wasn't out.
Now, having got the technology back, they continue to treat the technology with frivolity and here we are.
Anyone watching the game live could have said, before DRS showed us, that Murali Vijay as well as Rahul were not handed a howler !
That word howler is important. If it is not a howler, don't bet on it being one.
But we never learn. Wonder if BCCI honchos will start cribbing about the technology again. They can't think for a minute that if it works for others, it should for Indians as well . . . if only they were not so quick to punch their palm with the fist of the other hand.

There is a great example. An LBW appeal against Kohli. The bowler appeals ferociously sure he had his man. It was impossible to say with the naked eye whether it hit bat first or bat.
The Australians refused to go for the DRS . . . they were not being stupid. IT WAS TOO CLOSE TO BE 100 PERCENT SURE.
That is the way to handle DRS.
PS : Its easy for the Australians in the commentary box, after having seen the slow-mo, to say it should have been challenged. But none of them had a clue before they saw the slow-mo.
Treat the process with respect and not as a lottery.
