*Official* Bangladesh in New Zealand 2016/2017

Touch wood but Latham appears to be getting over his mid-innings fatigue/deterioration in technique.
Nah, his 'fatigue' issues have never bothered when batting against average attacks (e.g. Domestic sides, Zimbabwe, Bangerz).

Taylor reminds me of Astle. Both teams are similar. Bangladesh struggles in New Zealand. New Zealand struggles in Bangladesh. I still think Bangladesh will dominate New Zealand come the tri series in Ireland, and that game in the Champions Trophy.

It'd be really great if our players would learn from their mistakes and stop getting themselves out the same way innings after innings. Hugely disappointed in Taylor - he fell into the most obvious trap.

Edit: why the hell is Santner batting ahead of Watling?

Like you dominated us in the WT20?

We're ****, but you're still worse.

Arrogance, they drop their guard down because they're playing minnows.

Oh, rubbish. A player has to demonstrate a weakness against previous opposition before the current opposition can notice and exploit it. Kane Williamson for example went through a period of getting caught at short cover because the Aussies noticed he had a tendency to play uppishly through there and they made sure to bowl and set fields to that weakness.

The Bangers have obviously noticed that Taylor is vulnerable to catches in the midwicket area - credit to them for exploiting it but it's annoying that Taylor hasn't adjusted. We needed a big innings from him and now we've got two unproven batsmen at the crease and we're still a hundred runs behind.

Kane hasn't really looked good in a year, Latham always gets out shortly after 50, Nicolls isn't Test standard and Raval may be the same.

Taylor on the other hand played a shot that wasn't on.

I still think a lot of the dismissals this series have been due to arrogance, they don't usually play this bad even when up against much stronger sides.

Just like how Bangladesh dominated NZ in last year's world T20, I suppose?

Hmmmm. Mystery noise.

Is RTS in synch ?

No hot spot either though, so ignore me.

Aaaaaand that's why I stopped short of liking this post.
Nah, that wasn't the classic Latham mid-innings self-destruction.

Usually it's preceded by a complete deterioration in technique, he starts falling over his front pad, looks completely village for a good 20 balls, is incapable of getting off strike, looks increasingly helpless, and then finally succumbs.

This one was just a mistake, and I think he was slightly beaten for pace.
