***Official*** Sri Lanka in South Africa 2016/2017

State Vice-Captain
If you discount India, where he only averages 10.62 after 5 matches, Duminy averages close to 50 away from home, but only 32.1 in South Africa. That's where the inconsistency lies, and it's quite the disparity,
He must have a very impressive average in Australia.

Doing plenty this morning and the wicket has quickened up. Be some effort for Sri Lanka to reach this total, never mind what South Africa end up with.

AB needs to come in for Bavuma, ideally. Having an absolute shocker of a series.

Bavuma needs to tighten up. May be able to hit through the line in Aus but far too loose here.

Yes, but political considerations mean that Cook or Elgar are closer to the chopping block than Bavuma.

That is the issue with hard quotas - saying there must be two blacks in the side. I suppose with the average over the season they might get away with only having Rabada in the Test side.

The thing with Bavuma is that the times he has come good have the bat have been:
a) Critically important runs
b) Only resulted in fifties and not big tons

He's also been electric in the field

I think he's earned himself a long rope on cricketing merit TBH. But once ABDV is back he would definitely be the first name on the chopping block.

I agree, but on form now, he's got to be the one who goes when AB is back.

It might do him good to go back and get some runs in the franchise stuff.

Bavuma has moved to the top of the pile to be dropped with this failure and Duminy`s ton.... long time till next test though.

Next Test starts on the 8th of March in Dunedin.
Almost 2 months , ODI T20 series franchise cricket... chances for injury and loss/gain of form etc but Bavuma should make way for AB right now.

Dammit Amla, wanted a 200... decent knock from the mighty man though, excellent.
