I thought he might have signed before he got all the current opportunities... probably when he was still behind Morkel. Difficult to get out of the contract after having signed. Sad to see him go just when he came good and got his shot. Hopefully RR does not go the same way.

Morkel must be a relieved man. He was no longer in SA's best XI, and this is with Steyn out with injury.

It is almost unfair that Abott didnt take a wicket. He bowled super well in the first innings.

Yes the talent may be there with some but they really need to improve on shot selection and also use of DRS. The bowlers did ok(despite the scorecard) but were woefully let down by the batters..

Sri Lanka might be the worst test side in the world sans Zimbabwe away from home at the moment. Reckon even the Deshi's with Fiz fit would be more of a challenge.

An attack of Philander, Olivier, Parnell, and Maharaj isn't terrible, to be fair. And will probably still bowl SL out for under 300 at the Wanderers.

When you looking at young people leaving, cricket has so far done pretty well compared to other sports and other sectors of society.
