One of the greats of limited overs cricket, absolutely bossed it in the two world cups that India won in his tenure. Heck who knows would India have lost to the West Indies in the semi final last year if there?

It wasn't vintage Yuvraj, but he still shown glimpses of his class in beating Australia in the previous match. Horrible final v Sri Lanka in 2013 and a so-so test career shouldn't distract us from the fact that the guy is an icon of the sport.

This India limited overs side is strong, but its missing a lot of the fun and x-factor that Yuvraj brought in his pomp. Miss the smug so and so.:)

Nah... most people were relieved when he got out against Australia.

He was indeed brilliant in the WCs we won and the 387 chase though.

Has a test match batsman a guy with his shot making skills he should have averaged over 40.
There's been a few Yuvrajs and Guptills in cricket history to be fair. Being a superb stroke-maker and ball striker doesn't always translate to being a successful Test batsman.

Yep

Take MMarsh as another example

Guy can hit sixes at will when he gets going.

Unfortunately, a reliable forward defence also comes in handy

I've always liked Yuvraj particularly because he reminds me very much of a good friend of mine. Easily buoyed by emotions but all the while innocent and pure at heart.

Will he go down has one of Englands most underrated captain i seem to remember England winning the sharjah cup when he was captain.

Not Terrible
One suspects even Adam Hollioake's mother wouldn't admit to him being underrated. The bloke himself admits he wasn't ready for captaincy.
