Bangladesh winning a test match has upset the equilibrium of the universe.I joked about them dropping Lyon on the podcast. They might actually do it.
What on Earth is happening. All the joke memes are becoming reality.
Yeah, basically channelling the 2008 Australia in South Africa team balance: better-than-part-time spinner in the top 6 because you don't need a specialist, seam bowling AR at 8, three quicks. If the pitch looks like that day 1 with overhead clouds, Pretorius has a good chance of debuting in place of Maharaj.
Hardus is a fantastic FC in my opinion, very fast, relatively accurate but at international standard does not have all the necessary swing/seam skills. To get into the SA team right now as a pace bowler you have to get past Morkel, Abbott, next in line for me is Duanne Olivier then maybe Hardus and De Lange. Pretorius is there as an all rounder, which would be a good replacement for Maharaj in these conditions.what happened to Hardus Viljoen? just ****?
Bangladesh beat England. Trump becomes President. It all makes so much sense now.Bangladesh winning a test match has upset the equilibrium of the universe.
why do you keep acting as though dropping Lyon would be weird?I joked about them dropping Lyon on the podcast. They might actually do it.

Pretorius isn't even in Australia yet, set to arrive sometime on Saturday.Yeah, basically channelling the 2008 Australia in South Africa team balance: better-than-part-time spinner in the top 6 because you don't need a specialist, seam bowling AR at 8, three quicks.
Not the worst plan for RSA, tbh.
Where did you hear that from? I just assumed he was on a plane asap...Pretorius isn't even in Australia yet, set to arrive sometime on Saturday.

Heh... professional sport ... Sounds like he may have a day or two to recover anyway. He flew last night apparently so he'll arrive there today.
Don't think you can play a guy in a Test in Hobart when he was in Johannesburg 36 hours before that.
First two days will have little to no play. Other 3 don't look too bad.I really hope the rain doesn't completely spoil this Test. How bad is the forecast looking?
