Good win by the Sandgropers.

the apple eaters just haven't been up to it this year.

Looking forward to the Vics and the 'Tahs.

Midwinter, I feel like 'Tahs is exclusively a Rugby Union word, am I right? But yeah, I'm looking forward to the game too. Vics top 7 is going to look great on paper with Finch and Wade apparently in, unlucky for Harris that he is likely to miss out. If I didn't have this BS assignment due soon, I might have ventured out to the game, should be the biggest crowd of the tournament today.

For Tasmania they really needed to win that game vs. QLD which they really should have won and of course that draw against WA could have seen them get 4 points instead of 2. I think on the whole they've been decent and have played pretty much up to expectations. I've enjoyed Kingston's bowling, Doolan's batting and I think it is clear that Webster has promise but is under utilised down at 6, considering Tassie open with keepers/law firm Dunk and Paine.

Ryan Carters in for injued Rohrer, considering how slow Cowan,Hughes and Maddison have been I'd open with Carters.
Its a win/lose game for NSW.

This has been a strange innings by Victoria. Throughout the tournament they've had reduced overs due to rain or chasing down targets quickly to get a bonus point or double bonus point, that I think they've struggled a bit to remember that the innings last for 300 balls, not 250.

they went from trying to smash everything down to the ground to trying to deflect everything behind the wicket

Nice wicket maiden over from Siddle. If the battle for the third quick is between Siddle and Bird, Sid is comfortably bowling better so far during the Matador.

getting irrationally mad at all these leg side balls that would be called wide being played at and hit straight to the fielder

lol @ holland not bowling until the 30th because (presumably) of two lefties at the crease

Good win by the Bluebaggers.

Taking out the Vic middle order and slowing their run rate and then Maddinson clouting the ball around in the middle of his innings to put them on top of the run rate .

Perhaps the Vics bowling attack was unbalanced by not playing Fawad. :)

It has made the rest of the games interesting.

Darren Berry has an over the top commentary style but he loves talking cricket. It has been good to listen to him.

"Wicketkeepers are a quietly spoken bunch" was one of his comments
:)

I almost think the Victorian batting lineup has too much batting firepower in it, almost seems more suited to T20 as opposed to one-dayers. Considering how they destroyed the bowling for longish periods and yet got a score that was probably 25 runs below par suggests they didn’t really play it smart.

Also probably should’ve rejigged the batting lineup – Stoinis at 4 when Maxwell was already there at 3 seemed a better fit than Wade was.
