This series is all about money... a tit for tat. Because neither are willing to budge on the December home Tests both are playing series against each other in Oct/Nov and Jan/Feb. But this can lead to a shortened time window and we find that there are incomplete T20, ODI, Tests series, so this is probably a case of Aus 'owing' SA a ODI series and SA off to play a Test series in Aus... and so it will continue to go around unless the ICC sorts out an international series schedule, which will probably never happen.

Edit: an even if us a 'true' cricket fans are irritated by lack of quality teams, and a pointless series etc... most people (at least in SA) are actually unaware of what is going on and just go to the game and enjoy it.

International Regular
I think Joel Paris is injured but not sure.

Big surprise to find a young Australian quick out with injury, but there we go.

With regards the batting, the loss of The Prince is really being keenly felt in both long and short formats right now.
is it really?

with all due respect, post debut series he looked totally out of his depth at international level.

Burgey

He'd walk into the Australian side right now. If nothing else he completely dominated at domestic level most every year. If he put up he numbers he usually did he'd have been back in.

One of those things we'all sadly never know though

Behardien should be dropped surely?

De Kock
Amla
Faf
RR
Duminy
Miller
Parnell
Phehlukwayo

looks like a good top 8 for Durban

Why Berhardien? I know he is a hack and I know he looks terrible... but he has done the job asked of him, better than both Duminy and Miller have done recently. Duminy has shown some good form now. So I personally would drop Miller, I know he strikes the ball sweetly I know that he has power... but the minute he starts facing decent quality bowlers, that can hit the correct line and lengths consistently, he struggles; he is limited where he hits to and struggles to manufacture shots. I would rather give Rillee that position when Amla returns.

So you would bat Behardien in the top 5? I can't agree with you man. Miller is the right guy to hit the hell out of this mediocre Aussie bowling (except Zampa).

No I would just play Berhardien at 6, RR at 5 instead of Miller.... when AB comes back you can replace Berhardien.

Tahir was impressive as always.... not a great bowling display, otherwise. Huge total. Hopefully one of the top 3 goes big for us.
