HB has some weird thing against cricinfo. The only thing that is happening here is that cricinfo are always the last at publishing any such news.. I guess they dont want to publish what may be a rumour.
You just have to read their articles to see the obvious bias. I am not wasting my vacation time searching for those but I am assuming they had beef with the previous regime, possibly over the IPL rights or something and have been extremely supportive of the current regime.HB has some weird thing against cricinfo. The article on Cricbuzz is broke now:this still isn't on Cricinfo?
That's if you ever make it anywhere court as one of the major problems with doing business there is that it can literally take years before you have your dayI don't know how things get done in India, but you don't negotiate with Courts here. You do as you're told.
its extraordinary isn't it?"We don’t want India to be humiliated in front of the world."
And cancelling a test tour when the other team is in the country will make them look good
That suggests to me that Williamson is fit and they know that him and Jeets on one team means an innings win for NZ. Theyre using the court thing as a cover..."We don’t want India to be humiliated in front of the world."
And cancelling a test tour when the other team is in the country will make them look good
To be fair, my understanding is that the court itself is often used as a means of political pointscoring...Who makes a publicity and negotiating play against a court ffs? Answer me, ****.
Aren't all sports effectively monopolies? Why is a government monopoly necessarily better? Isn't the evidence on the side of 'ownership structures don't matter much as long as there is competition'?What could go wrong when you allow a non-government entity to have a monopoly on the biggest sport in the country?
Haha I tried really hard not to bite at harsh's post but now that you've replied I can't help but point out how weird I found it given:Aren't all sports effectively monopolies? Well in England the FA manages to oversee a multi-billion pound sporting industry without a hint of corruption. What could go wrong when you allow a non-government entity to have a monopoly on the biggest sport in the country?
The bolded part is not the only issue as BCCI has not agreed to setting an age limit on their office bearers or on allowing only one vote per state. But yeah, I have no idea why the judiciary would recommend the gap between tournaments. I believe the Lodha committee report initially had guidelines on how much space ads can take up on the screen, which is just absurd.Haha I tried really hard not to bite at harsh's post but now that you've replied I can't help but point out how weird I found it given:
- When the BCCI didn't have a monopoly and the ICL was a thing, most of CW hated that even more.
- The root of the issue here is clearly the Supreme Court completely overstepping its bounds and telling the BCCI how much of a break it has to allow in between tournaments. That's just absurd micro-management of a 'non-government entity' by the central authority.
The supreme court in the country has become a bit of a joke in recent times.States and bodies openly ignore their decisions with no consequences. Type in 'Karnataka' or 'Cauvery' in ggogle to be amazed.Who makes a publicity and negotiating play against a court ffs? Answer me, ****.
