There are a ****load of things that show off his talent so lets not compliment him with something that could also be said about Nohit.:p

Rohit has more time because of different reasons though. He has a trigger movement where he presses forward slightly, and he doesn't move much from that position most of the time. From there he plays off both the front foot and back foot, just shifting his weight and feet minimally. It's what gives the illusion that he has lots of time, and it's also what makes him so successful in LO cricket. Unfortunately it's also what makes him a candidate for getting caught behind playing away from his body to swing or getting beaten in the air.

If you compare KW or Kohli and Rohit there's a world of difference in terms of their head position as well. KW and Kohli are always meeting the ball under their eyes and front foot with their weight going forward but Rohit's always got his head somewhere in the middle of his body and plays a lot of drives in the air. Works for him in ODIs, not so much in Tests.

Not really a complement is it though, it's how you use your time after all.

And Rohit uses it to deface this glorious sport of test cricket with the most disgraceful batting displays ever witnessed, while the other is a consummate professional artist.

Pleasing score to get back to. A long way to go ofc.
don't rate Taylor
Taylor Lbw (b) Jadeja
Yes lbw to left arm spin is definitely a risk with Taylor.

He does have a century in each of SL, India and UAE though; the first of those was very controlled accumulation against Herath while the other two were riskier affairs where he kept playing aggressive shots, scored quickly and his chips didn't fall the wrong way until after the hundred.

Maybe it's because India don't have anyone this good?

That's allowed to happen

I was just thinking how gun it'd be if Arnold was in the box. Should be a full time commentator for Sky NZ and tour with Doully
