Did he? How did that happen, only remember woakes and anderson taking wicketsBroad averaged 28 in this series, has some high standards for going completely missing these days.
Hameed looks like he will be class. Soft hands and plays late. Good temperament for test cricket. No reason to drop Hales tbh. Give him the SC tour and see how he gets on. If he fails there then I'm at a loss. Hameed?
How did Misbah get the MotS award?
edit: ah ok it's a split one
Yup, been doing it for years. Its not split, I think. England have been doing this thing of having a MoS from each side from as long back as I can remember.
I'm not too fussed about it but I don't think I agree with this approach. Woakes to me was far and away the most consistent player (maybe the only consistent player) out of both sides. Any time we had something going you could count on him to be threatening and break a partnership, and then went on to contribute with the bat as well. Its not split, I think. Can't see how Younis gets in the team when he didn't get a single hundred.Team of the series

It's created some absurdities in its time too. Javed Omar got Man of the Series in 2005 for hitting one half century in two Tests.Yup, been doing it for years.
Whenever I want to talk about how much better Bangladesh are I bring up that series. Yeah they are a little bit crap now but 10 years ago they were club standard on a good day. It's created some absurdities in its time too. Javed Omar got Man of the Series in 2015 for hitting one half century in two Tests.
They brought up his series average when he started bowling this test and I thought they must've been wrong given the amount of criticism he's been getting.Broad averaged 28 in this series, has some high standards for going completely missing these days.
I've seen elsewhere people talking about resting him for India. It really is amazing, he just needs a few tests that aren't brilliant and people want him dropped again. I thought it may have ended for a bit, but no it's started again. They brought up his series average when he started bowling this test and I thought they must've been wrong given the amount of criticism he's been getting.
Did he not have a pretty decent first Test which got overshadowed by Yasir and Woakes? Like 5 or 6 for basically **** all for the match? They brought up his series average when he started bowling this test and I thought they must've been wrong given the amount of criticism he's been getting.
