Hard to hate the IPL when you can watch a Williamson-Warner partnership.

Just wish there were a few more quality bowlers this season. Guys like Fizzy and Bumrah are pretty much MVPs.

Sunrisers were lucky to get away with Williamson's slow batting. Warner more than made up for it though. Probably should have had Henriques come in at 3 tbh

Hopefully Williamson gets another game though

The rule used to be that you could only sign players that entered the initial auction regarding replacements, pretty sure that has not changed, so that would rule out Santer, and any English player.

That is the list, some good players, but not many you'd back to make a major difference.

I'd definitely look at Jordan. Useful bat, good death bowler and top fielder. Dunno when the LO games against SL are though.

Jordan playing for RCB. Mumbai look really strong now with settled batting order. Jos with solid not out albeit under little scoreboard pressure.

Both top teams also have a negative NRR, not often you see that.

MSD is kinda losing it as a captain IMO.. Dravid and Ganguly both mentioned shelf life for a captain and MSD is showing all signs of a man who is a year or two past the shelf life as a captain. That decision to bowl Thisira out over any of Mashwin, Rashwin or Rajat was baffling to say the least...

His batting is questionable too.. run-a-ball near innings end is not good enough imo.

I would say the captaincy is definitely burdening his batting at the moment... He is at his wits end with his bowlers and some of that muddled thinking is boiling over into his batting.

While it doesn't make sense logically for Dhoni to be captain when you've got Smith is in the side, you still can't take it off him IMO

He's a legend in India and it would piss fans off massively

Yeah... thing is MSD needs a break from captaincy and even 2 or 3 years ago I think, after the 8-0 in away tests, Dravid suggested that he can start by giving up the captaincy of CSK to Raina and the Indian T20 side to Kohli.. Dravid felt that Dhoni taking a break from T20 International games and not captaining during the IPL will help keep him fresher to lead India in tests and ODIs. I sorta think the same now. He should give up captaining Pune so that he can lead India in LO games till he is playing.
