That's all I'm judging him on tbf. He's actually got decent stats but the few times I've seen him play (against Aus) he's looked bafflingly hopeless at that level

Yeah Jos could be struggling to stay in the team, he is much better bat than Anderson but isn't playing well. He could have no complaints.

ok so this is kinda hard to explain, but I feel like there's this weird thing with the IPL where guys like Usman or Guptill could easily be involved in bidding wars, like the Morris one, but if no-one starts the first bid, well they're perfectly fine with that because they can just draft the guy in during the tournament anyway. I don't think they like bidding for a big international player, even if it's bare minimum, only to have them be depth. Like, I think in the last auction, both Usman and Guptil were over-looked, and then a team asked for them to be put back up for sale, and they still weren't bid on. A team was clearly interested in them, and both have since been signed, but for whatever reason, they didn't want to actually bid on them.
