**Official* IPL 2016

International Vice-Captain
Plunkett was the guy after he played in the UAE against Pakistan last year that I thought might get a gig this year - and kinda surprised he hasn't. Tall and Bowls quick and straight and can hit down the order. Seems to be the prototype of bowler that the Indian teams love to import from SA and Aus because they have none with similar qualities. Not really in the test reckoning so presumably should have been available.

Jordan is already in IPL, will be interesting to see how it goes. IPL sides seem to like seam bowling all rounders so Stokes and Willey probably be in ahead of Ali/Rashid.

Roy vs Hales is an interesting one. You could well be right.
Its cool that the likes of Willey wants to focus on 4 day cricket thus not putting himself up for auction but when you consider some of the mugs who got picked up, he must be kicking himself as pretty sure he would have got picked up, no disrespect to the lad but I don't see him playing test cricket anytime soon. Rashid would have got a gig if a mug like Behardien got picked up as well.

Whatever it takes!!!
lol... its sad times for the captain who has to choose between Ishant and Dinda to bowl the first over for their team, hey? :)

I also think it's funny that me posting about Ganguly loving Dinda has become an even bigger meme than Ganguly loving Dinda itself.

Jono should add it to the list he has of posters and things that will always make them post.

Ganguly prefers Dinda over everyone though. :p
except Agarkar...Ganguly had a man-love for Agarkar - never dropped him when he was the India captain...then brought him to KKR (and then the Pune IPL team also?)

Agarkar had a terrible first class record. So I always thought he should never have been picked for tests. However, at least in his last 6-7 years, he was terrific in the longer format for Mumbai. However, he shouldn't have been selected for tests when he was.

Every captain has their man loves. Azhar - Raju. Dravid - Dinesh Karthik yada yada.
Raju lol. Still remember the '93 series when we destroyed England at home with the holy Kumble-Raju-Rajesh Chauhan trifecta. :) :D
