Yeah I'm more or less in agreement with Halsey. Drinkwater might also be the best option in that role, at least his one good season has been this season. There's actually loads of pretty good options if he goes with a 4-1-2-1-2, but picking Rooney stuffs it up a bit because he's so bad at pressing.

To expand my thoughts on Wilshere in England, I just think he's a better deep lying playmaker than any of the other options, which would make the midfield a bit more balanced. Dier, Henderson and Alli works very well if you're going to go all out pressing though, which might be the best option.

That deeper role is 100% Dier's surely. Wilshere has only even played a handful of games there and some were disasters. His passing range isn't even anything special.

Assuming Wilshere recovers and doesn't pick up another injury that keeps him out for a year.
