I'm not sure if Roman-HHH can even be the main event anymore. Like, if Shane wins, I just can't see how you do another match after it. And if Taker/Vince* wins, then yeah Roman will get crapped all over and they know that and will probably have his match over and done with at that point anyway

having a lotta fun thinking about the behind the scenes meeting where HHH gets told he's being bumped to co-main event.

I figure they get a tag team shot on a Raw two or so weeks out and Y2J turns on him then. I guess they could do the spilt without even contending for a tag team title but where's the fun in that

The reason having Styles in a tag right now makes sense is he gets to hone his skills and fine tune himself in the wwe style of wrestling. He had a few matches as a singles competitor which establishes himself as one for the future. Now, a few months in a tag will get him to perfect the skills before he finally gets his proper run at singles. I don't mind this.

?!

You should be a WWE announcer with this level of burying talent, labeling achievements elsewhere as inferior and former careers being irrelevant. I am not an AJ Styles mark but it is AJ Styles FFS. He is one of the most experienced performers on the roster.

Yes he is mighty skilled and all that, but he has not wrestled in WWE. Wrestling here is a bit different to other companies with more spotlight, big wrestlers and the chance to be buried if not upto it soon enough. It will help him I think. One example which comes to mind is RVD. He was put right to the spotlight if I remember right. A title match v triple H and later he was never able to build himself up to be a main event wrestler or even a decent midcard wrestler in WWE. No one doubted the skills of RVD either.

That had nothing to do with anything lacking with Rvd himself. He was at the peak of his popularity and was still great in the ring. Unfortunately , HHH was a ****.

...Because he ****ing got himself busted for drugs less than a month after they made him WWE and ECW champion, what the ****.

Also, learning the WWE style is definitely A Thing, but it has absolutely zilch to do with whatever you're talking about.

Pratters could be on to something TBF. Would give AJ the opportunity to call matches with the greener WWE style superstars who have never wrestled anywhere else with the safety net of having a veteran like Y2J behind him to keep him looking undeniably upper midcard.

Would also be able to keep grooming him around WWE cameras and in their promo work.

That said I wouldn't be surprised if it was a one off or only lasted a few weeks.

Ambrose really shouldn't go over Brock. An Austin-Bret at WM style of match where Ambrose loses after taking a hell of a beating would be the best outcome.

They've built Brock extremely strongly post-streak to the point where winning a singles match against Brock is more impressive than winning the world title. I like Ambrose, he is good in the ring, very good about half the time on the mic, has alright charisma but he's not among the best I've seen in any department, would rather save the singles Brock loss for Rollins or someone who can get an epic out of Lesnar.
Street fight rules is a real leveler though and under the right circumstances gives Dean a real chance. What I wouldn't want is Dean selling the feud by being beatdown every week only to lose meekly at Mania. Hope they do right by him.

This is just so wrong its ridiculous.

Styles probably needs a manager. Somebody like Heyman who can teach him how to cut promos. Doesn't need to get into the tag team division.. It will lead to interactions with New Day and that will just make his mic work look worse.

There's nothing wrong with Styles' mic skills though. He's no Mick Foley, but he's good enough. He comes across as genuine/real when he speaks, which is the most important part.
