Funny, funny bloke.

That night cost me hundreds at Aphrodite's. Straight off the plane and a 24 hour bender. Don't think the liver has ever been the same.

Wenger expressing concern on the Chinese incursion wrt the degree of political will.

As it happens, Jackson Martinez, who Guangzhou Evergrande just bought from Atletico for 42m euros, was one of my first purchases on FIFA for Arsenal as player/manager.

BARNES OUT
As a side note, I ****ing love and miss Richard Dunne.

EDIT: Micah really was an awesome prospect. That defensive job he does 1-on-1 with Ronaldo just after 7 minutes is amazing. Genuinely kept with him for pace and overpowered him. Shame he never really put it all together.

Not sure I really agree with what he is saying here. I mean, why can Leicester not be a fairytale and a really good team? I wasn't aware that anyone had suggested these things were in any way mutually exclusive, but his argument seems to be premised on the idea that you have to be one or the other.

I think the point more is that it's not akin to, say, a Championship club going on a run to the FA Cup final and taking down a few giants along the way. Which is the usual 'fairytale' in football, I guess?

Anyhow, for me the more interesting points were about the dismissiveness we are still seeing in some parts, i.e. it being evidence of the Prem being crap and how they'll get swatted aside in Europe (like the current big sides). It's just unthinkable to so many entrenched in the 1992 is year zero mindset that someone could break the behemoths' monotonous monopoly, by simply having the audacity to be a better football team.
