The South African semi and the final were both live on Prime. Also a few people might have only watched the first over.im finding it hard to believe half the population watched the cricket world cup on pay television. that's like the entire adult population of nz almost and sky have what, 500k-1 mill subscribers tops?
I remember reading somewhere that TV ratings are adjusted and counted in such a way as to not count people who are just flicking through the channels trying to see what's on. They average how many people are tuned in at every minute of the entire show/event. So in reality if the ratings say 2 million people, it is likely that more than 2 million unique eyes saw some part of the event. The South African semi and the final were both live on Prime. Also a few people might have only watched the first over.

Why would nzc want to develop an Australian domestic team? The Canberra Comets in the kiwi comp would be a massive opportunity and it would prepare them for
1 Big Bash
2 first class cricket
3 Mettador cup, especially since they should have been their in the first place rather than an academy side.
Wellington might. Why would nzc want to develop an Australian domestic team?
