Looking forward to the inevitable NZ supporter evolution of the thread from "We might win here" to "yeah we are nowhere near good enough" a la the NZ tour of Aus thread

No practice match? Disgusting effort by Cricket NZ frankly, at least we had the good will to roll out practice matches for our neighbours.

lol yeah pretty sure there were pages and pages of complaining about the shameful lack of decent practice games NZ got when they came here.

Looking forward to the inevitable TJB evolution from "Adam Voges is the greatest since Bradman" to "These pitches are a disgrace and the only reason Australia lost so many wickets was because of bad luck" a la every Aus tour thread.

points for originality, though I've never actually said any of those things in an Aus tour thread

I wouldn't be surprised if they do prepare greentops to even the odds, though NZ don't really have a history of advantageous pitch-manipulation as some other sides do, as far as I'm aware.

Can't say that any of that isn't true though tbh

I remember that game well. 1st innings bowled out for 60, 2nd innings 0-60 and they were beaten by the bowlers more in the 2nd innings. Great example of how luck can influence cricket.

Calling the pitch "****ing terrible" was a bit ott though

edit: and how the **** did you find that post so quickly. Or even have the desire to find it.

The great thing about the ashes is they get their own sub-forum that's linked at the bottom of the forums section. So if you remember someone saying something particularly lolworthy in there it never takes long to find.

And tbf, no series involving NZ will ever be worthy of it's own subforum ;-)

Edit: Though having said that, James is from NZ, so you never know
