Yeah I still would've opened with Cowan if I was just trying to chase this score in 20 overs but given they need it in 16 it really needed to be Lumb and Maddinson IMO.

It reminds me of earlier this tournament when they needed 20 off 20 or whatever and instead of sending in Lawford to try to hit a bomb or two and seal it, they had Botha and Silk out there trying to knock around singles.

Like yeah, you've picked your batting line-up, but you can change the order to reflect the match situation

Botha can go hard too and the plan was clearly for him not to for some reason. It was more a situational analysis failing than a rigid batting order thing IMO, although it was probably a bit of both.
