Lets have a match result sweepstake then. Cbf to write it out, do Aus win by per wicket and NZ win in 10 run brackets (1-10 run win, 11-20 run win, etc.)

6 wicket win - Cabinet96

Inexplicable batting from Boult. Could've been out 4-5 times easy. Absolute rubbish. You've got to wonder where the message to do that came from.
Agreed. Boult has a test 50. That's now how a player who's scored a test 50 plays. Whoever told him to play like that needs to be shot.

When I'm bowling to my little brother I tell him, if you back away I bowl one as fast as I can in the ribs. A few bruises later and he no longer backs away.

NZ showed no bottle this morning whatsoever, very poor, hopefully if they lose this, Bmac gets slaughtered, definitely has to be his hard on for AGGRESSION~! behind their suicidal batting this morning.
Well said. This was a disgusting batting display by NZ. I'm very disappointed. Sure we haven't had luck go our way but there was still an opportunity to get a 200 lead and put Oz under pressure. Now this will be a cake walk for Oz.

NZ got about 50 runs more than I predicted. My prediction now is still in line with what I said before:

1) Australia win with 8 wickets in hand
2) Warner scores 113*
3) Warner man of the series

Moss

International Captain
Winning the Leeds tests allowed McHesson to gloss over the obvious shortcomings in the batting approach. If a loss here leads to some reconsideration, wouldn't be the worst thing.

Aust could certainly bottle this but if they get there then it'll be a very good win cos NZ is a good side

NZ win by 10 runs, I want to believe they can somehow pull it off and McCullum can go into the press conference just glowing with his genius.

Its very annoying, I gave up on Southee ages ago, but the rest I'd expect more from. The Boult "shot" brought back horror memories of his shot to lose the first test in England last year. :thumbdown

Anyway, hopefully it doesn't cost them, NZ fans fans will be sick if Australia crawl over the line.

This NZ test team were shaping up so well until the World Cup and resulting circle jerk over their aggression. Now they've pretty much reached peak caricature McCullum.

Aus by 7 wickets, stuffing knocked out before the lights are turned on, and it all ends in a bit of a damp squib.

It's funny how the way this NZ side have played this series has flown completely against the meme of them being 'greater than a sum of their parts', being 'fighters' and getting the most out of their talent.

One of the most talented sides they've put together in a long time, and one of the very few times (possibly the only time) they have arrived in Australia with realistic expectations of winning the series...and they throw it away with a lot of loose and brainless cricket.

187 to win

Don't fancy our chances. But we will steam in.

Australia keys to victory

If Burns lasts more than 50 balls and takes the shine off the ball.

For NZ

Somehow we fluke getting out Smith and Warner in the first 10 overs. And yes it has to be the first ten overs.

Making the captaincy speech is real easy for Brendon - "Boys the first ten overs are the whole game, come out breathing fire. Two early wickets and we are right in this."

What is counting against us is that Australia rarely fail twice in a row. They will dig deeper this knock.
