**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

I think NZ could actually bat out a whole day with 7 wickets in hand.

Not likely but it is very possible.
Would agree if Williamson was still there. Maddening that he got out just on the stroke of tea and then the rain-break. The others could still pull through, but Watling aside they're all the sorts who need generous heaps of luck if they're to bat out the day.

In any case, Australia deserve nothing less than a win.

Not impossible, but heavily doubt it especially given that Taylor is looking rusty as a bag of rusty nails and will have to start again in the morning. Still, the fact that the batsmen will get the morning session to adjust before the new ball is taken gives them a sliver of a chance.

Leaving DRS aside, it is frustrating that we lost two vital wickets just before rain breaks.

Huge day for our three remaining specialist batsmen tomorrow. Chance to play a career-defining innings.

Is Southee going to remain with the team and be assessed on the eve of the Perth test?

If it does come down to the tail-enders, all I ask is that they be gotten out and not edge the ****ing thing down to third man.

What's the most undeserving draw in cricketing history? gogo stats nerds
In recent history Manchester 2013 comes to mind. Arguable that England could've dead-batted the Test anyway but we looked all over them before the rain came.

98 and 01 probably would've been clear wins if it wasn't for the rain.

Odd that I can't remember a time where rain genuinely saved Australia since the 2005 Ashes.

C'mon, we got a couple of rough one's on day 5. Those are a dime a dozen.
The Gillespie one? That was highway robbery from an incompetent umpire. That whole series was warped. First morning of the series, he whose name shall not be mentioned until legally exonerated or incarcerated had Langer ab-so-lutely plumb third ball. Harper gives it not out then they put on 230 odd, we go on to be so far behind it ain't funny then Steve Waugh decides he's a nice fella who wants us to have a chance, that we would've taken if he whose name hit it a foot further. Then we get stood on in Hobart again only for it to rain heaps. Then at Perth, he whose name's former friend scores a magnficent century then is given out for missing a leg break, we score 500, they score less, I can't even remember what happened second dig, we get on top, Gilly threatens to go debut match-winning ton v Pakistan crazy on us then is run out at the bowler's end (?), then Gillespie nicks one so loud you can hear it back in Auckland but Ian nope, he didn't quite catch it.

Good times.
