Australian Domestic Season 2015/16

Reckon Victoria wanted him to play this one and skip the next one.

Oh, and they definitely should have picked Siddle for Australia. Was pretty happy with the idea of Tremain not playing against us this week, especially as nightwatchman.

Qid keepin teh pressure on TAs 1/51 off 27 overs
Michael not carrying on his one day form.

Sayers doing well for SA, not so good for Bancroft aspirations nor SMarshs'

Any chance of play today in Sydney ?

Issue isn't rain but a soggy surface. So we'll probably see some play later today.

Patto and Hasto out this game.means Vic without their opening attack.
But Bolando is in tho'

Christo a bit unlucky to be out for Finch.

Paris is twelfth man today; pretty close.
Would have thought that he would have been ahead of Mackin but he was in the team for the first round and did quite well.

Particularly like what I have seen of Paris. Touch wood he stays injury free because left-arm , swings it and pitches it up. Could be a precious commodity.

He's certainly done nothing wrong with his Matador chances. Problem is not playing this game means he's even less likely to get a go when NCN and Skyrim come back.

I'm going to go for an average of 33.33 or higher. Generally, I don't think anyone demands a spot in the top 6 of a Shield side with that sort of average, unless they are contributing well with the ball but I think that'll be a solid achievement and tbh looks a way off at this stage. Also, Tassie bats have struggled for the last year and a half so that mark should be enough for him to keep his spot in the side at full strength.

He shouldn't really be aiming for that average though, first he needs to be able to:

bat a session [ ]
surpass his OD HS of 34 [ ]
make a first class fifty [ ]
be involved in an important 100+ partnership [ ]
respond well from a duck [ ]
hopefully make a ton [ ]
Looking forward to Doran's knock in the second innings now.

BTW, this is the worst QLD side I've ever seen so I wouldn't be shocked if Tas win outright.

Then, in the fourth Test match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi, on what Cowan calls “the worst wicket you could imagine”, Hughes’s 45 provided more encouragement that he had decoded the secret of batting in Indian conditions. “By the end,” Cowan says, “he’d unlocked it. It took Ricky Ponting three tours, it took Hughesy two Tests. He was so malleable with his skills and found a way that suited his game. That’s a one-*in-*a-*million skill. By the end, he was saying, ‘Next time we come here, we’re going to nail these guys’.”
god that cowan quote reminds me so much of that awesome post PEWS made during that tour. http://www.cricketweb.net/forum/cri...ustralia-india-2012-13-a-269.html#post3035611
