***Official*** South Africa in India 2015

Boooo no 300.

Still think this is enough tbh.

More than enough assuming they nick early wickets, no depth to this Saffer batitng line up and its still a big total.

Still can't understand how India are so against giving a hitter a chance at the end of the order, some of the swinging towards the end was grotesque. Dhoni is still a gun, but not going to killy uo at the end when big shots are needed.

I also think any bowler who Axar has hit more than 2 sixes of in an international or IPL game should be banned.

The good thing for India was they tried to get 1s and 2s today. Else they could have ended up with 285 or so even.

Agreed, obviously the conclusion to the innings deserves a lot of criticism, but it was still overall good work from India, Kohli absolutely fantastic.

Whatever it takes!!!
No need to do Gambhiring here.

Are you suggesting that 2 quick wickets was not at all possible at that stage or are you suggesting you trust Axar, Bhaji, Bhuvi, Mishy and Mohit to get us anything more than 10-30 runs? Face it, our lower middle order IS our tail and it starts at 7. Its not Gambhiring to point out that obvious fact.

It's so hot. South African players will tired even before they face
a ball.

Dude, its 34 and its evening. You have no idea what hot is in Chennai if you think this is hot. And remember with the new stands and the way they were built, the sea breeze flows directly across the Chepauk. Its no longer the cauldron it used to be with the closed stadium.

Don't know. Seeing the faces of ABD and Steyn getting red and Pollock commenting about the humidity, it looked very difficult conditions.

So obviously, not actually being out there, you can judge the weather accurately?

Graeme Smith made the point that the sweating is what gets to the saffers. In Chennai, with the coast running along the city, you do not get dry heat. YOu sweat, a lot but it does not mean it was particularly hotter than most other venues these guys play in their summers in the SC or even in RSA.
