Crunch game time

No surprise SA choose to bat winning the toss. And it seems like Miller has been promoted to open - desperate ploy to get him into form? He's been a liability in the middle order for a while now. Does this mean everyone else gets dropped down one slot? ABDV may be too low down at 6.

Yadav dropped for Mishra, so India are in with 3 spinners. Good call IMO, given Yadav hasn't looked good and Mishra bowled so well in the first ODI. Bhajji, Axar, Bhuvi and Mohit have all bowled well too, so this is a decent attack overall.

There's no point dismantling a strong top six just for Rahane. If he can't cope with the role given to him, let a better ODI batsman (Kedar, Manoj, Gurkeerat) step up.

Quite a first over. All 6 balls attacking the stumps. All deliveries met the wood of the bat. Yet, no runs!

Umesh dropped because he hasn't been consistent. Mohit persisted with despite not being any good.

Disagree. Mohit is gun. Decent pace, moves the ball, good control, killer slower ball. Decent in the field too. I'd have him as a regular in the ODI side personally. I'd actually like to see him get a shot in Tests too.

Need a new plan, they've caught on pretty quickly that we're just targetting the stumps.

How many times has Gavaskar told the "no matter what number you bat man" joke in his lifetime?

Hasn't been bad bowling so far. Just lots of value for shots here - good batting track, fast outfied.
Yeah, looks like there's going to be big scores today. Not sure if taking the pace off it will work here either because it's just coming on so nicely.

Reckon SA are gonna get 320-330 unless the spinners somehow get a lot of purchase. And going off this Bhajji over, that seems unlikely.

Not sure about the idea of Miller opening. He is good for 30-40 runs which might be far more handy at number 6 than it is as an opener.
