An important day for George Bailey here. I think he needs runs here since he doesn't bowl and is nothing special in the field. A failure (especially in a loss) and we could easily try Agar or Stoinis for him.

Pretty gloomy out there. Maybe Woakes and Plunkett swinging the ball could pose the biggest threats.

I think I'd like Agar in for Burns or Mitch Marsh even more though. Really just do not like this batting-heavy balance unless Faulkner is playing.

Yeah, Faulkner gives the one-day side much more balance in his finisher/death bowler role.

49 overs aside & Warner retired hurt 1st nut. Anyone prepared to give a sweep prediction on Aust's total this early? Closing before the start of the 3rd over.

289 for me.

Whacked on the thumb first ball, came straight off. Guessing they suspect it's broken.

Spikey to comment on TPC really being the new Clarke with that hit to the balls.

One problem he doesn't have, however, is being the new clarke when it comes to being hit in the balls

This game is probably already lost on England's side. Favourable conditions and we mostly waste them.

Or just aren't good enough to take advantage of them against the Aus top order. Have we even come close to taking a wicket apart from the Burns dismissal?

I suppose the only plus is that it isn't forecast to be overcast by the time we're batting, and the pitch itself is probably a beauty.

Woakes is the only good death bowler England has...not looking good for them now, as the pitch doesn't suit Rashid
