And therein lies the problem. By rights, none of Lyth, Bell, Bairstow or Stokes should be inked into the top 6, but finding four guys who can actually bat at this level just isn't going to happen with our comedy FC system.

Mo would be fine too 6 there IMO. With the way the current top 6 is going I'd probably slot him in rather than have him open and pick Hales.

Bell must be about 25, but I'm guessing really.

He seems to be persona non grata. I wish Ballance would sort his issues out. Hes the right sort of player for this lineup.
Australia's is hardly doing much better. International cricket can be hard, it is too easy just to blame county cricket. Stokes is going to be bad plenty of times but he is obviously worth sticking with. Lyth is obviously not, Bell and Bairstow am not entirely sure what we do.

Good to see the umpires doing their job. Surprised that Bairstow didn't review it - he must have known. As must Voges, thinking about it.
