watching the Ashes but reading the Cricinfo commentary on this match, they just commented how Indian fans were happy enough with 393 but now are complaining that it wasn't 450.
It's just the whims of cricket fans isn't it? Particularly modern fans

Whatever it takes!!!
SL ahead for me.... Just don't think our spinners can bundle out SL in the 4th innings, so need a big effort batting in the 3rd innings irrespective of what happens with SL's innings tomm and I just don't see our line up doing well in a 3rd or 4th innings situation against Herath and Kaushal..

I pardon your Gambhiring, but only because of the 1st test.

Always feels awkward to me. Say one day a decent but not ATG player decides to retire. Can you imagine the team huddle before he comes out to bat, and they're discussing among themselves "you think he's worthy?" "dunno man he averages 40 in an era of flat tracks and all" "ok **** it no guard of honour"
Irelevant to a guard of honour to an obvious legend.

Watched the last two sessions by recording them.

Regarding India's bowling -

Yadav - Great to see that he has improved so much. Was bowling way down the leg side so often last few months. It was still weird to see him dropped for the first test. The same thing happened in Australia. Any ways, Yadav bowling like he did makes me very happy.

Ashwin - He was bowling too short or too full at times. Have seen it before also with him. Bowl it on a length and will take so many more wickets. Will learn with time, I hope.

Mishra - Doesn't give as much flight as I would like him to give. Still a quality leg spinner. Happy to see him in the team.

Ishant - Same as before. Wish he added variety but it's too late to expect that now.

Binny - I liked his bowling. If he bowled a bit closer to the off stump, would have had a wicket or two. Was generating a bit of swing as well. Binny is a bit of a competitor and I wish people gave him more time. Looks fitter than before too.

Yadav was outstanding yesterday. Was unfortunate not to get 2-3 wickets tbh. Had Mathews in a big tangle which is impressive considering how good he is against pace. No idea how Mathews managed to survive... had no idea against Umesh.

I found it weird Mishra didn't bowl more yesterday. He was very impressive too.

I thought Kohli used his bowlers poorly tbh. I would have liked Umesh bowl 3-4 overs more too. He was giving every one too short a spell. Even some one like Mishra. He got a wicket and was ripping it really well after that as leg spinners tend to and was removed soon after. Only Stuart Binny got an extended spell some how. That left him gasping for breath as well.
