Nah, I know it's the bowlers responsibility to keep the foot behind the line, but they're entitled to be called when overstepping, otherwise they assume they're there or thereabouts. Finn was the loser then, not the batting team.

Who was the loser the last 15 no balls he bowled that weren't called? Costing the batting team 15 runs and maybe they would have had a better chance to score runs if the bowler wasn't a foot closer (unlikely I know, but it's just silly to say that it's "unfair" to the bowler that he's cheating and being allowed to cheat until he gets a wicket) These bowlers are adults and have no one to blame but themselves when they get a wicket and it doesn't count because they're ****ing cheating.

I'd be genuinely pissed off as a batsman if this was happening while I was out there

Edit: And there's no way I'd be feeling hard done by as a bowler if this happened. I'd just kick myself for screwing up and thankful that there aren't another 15 runs against my name and bowls I would have had to re-bowl if the umpire had called them.

Rogers would have left that ball though. Think Aus batted pretty well yesterday. Poms could've pitched it up a bit more but they bowled plenty of that type of delivery early on - just that Rogers and co weren't going to play it.

Have to be fuller to the more disciplined batsmen.

Umpires should be calling no balls, but not for the bowlers sake.

If there were 15 of them. then maybe, but that's probably exaggerating things, and even if it was, it's only 15 runs. The point I'm making is bowlers generally get into a groove based on where the umpires allows them to be landing. Clearly Dar just wasn't watching leading the bowler into a false sense of security. As I said, it's Finn's fault, but judging from Dar's miss, it doesn't look like he was getting any help from him.

Maybe looks more like the pitch where the bowler has to actually get the batsman out rather than just bowl the right area and let the pitch do the rest, which should suit Australia's quicks.

That's true, the umpire should be giving him some sort of indication. But for all we know he has been regularly telling Finn that he's getting close and pushing the line.
