***Official*** India in Sri Lanka 2015

I reject the notion that you need to score any quicker in run chases than in the first innings.
quick runs? nah.. SCORING RUNS? YES PLZ.. Indian batsmen weren't looking to do that for the most part, no one is asking them to smash a boundary each over.

It's blindingly obvious that the "scoring rate should be higher as they aren't good at defending" ala Contra is not the right part of his argument. He is right that you can't let Herath get all over you. That is independent of the scoring rate. It really helps if you defend by showing decisive footwork, including but not limited to coming down the wicket.

The only thing I have to add on Rohit is that his contract should be rewritten so that his entire international salary is paid in proportion to time spent in the middle in test cricket.

All that said, Sehwag played arguably the greatest test match innings at Galle in the first innings so Sehwag probably would have killed the game on the second day.

Sehwag was so great, especially when playing in Sri Lanka and Pakistan and the others were pretending test cricket wasn't easy.

I blame Kohli for getting out after 100 as usual in the first innings. None of this woul've mattered if we'd got 450+ in the first innings as we should have.

Well done Herath.

I thought Sri Lanka were in this match after Chandimal's innings. But I had thought that the Sri Lankan tail had just failed a little too much.

Rahane looking good ftr and Ashwin is hanging in there; defending with bat in front of pad so he clearly was watching Arnold's tutorial in the lunch break.

There is no way that you can argue that Dhawan played it right in the morning. You can't blame your hand for taking 36 balls to get a run ffs. It just played right into Herath's gameplan.

"81/7 need less than a 100 to win with 5 sessions to go.

Herath has a five fer.

Hmmm

HEY I GOT IT

Let me charge down the track and try to chip the ball over the man at wide mid on.

Yea, yea that's a good idea. Show some #intent. Take the attack to him. Get some momentum rolling."

**** off Ashwin you dumb ****.

Yep, I actually thought one of Harby or Ashwin might have got India home today. Mishra can bat a bit can't he?
