I think their strategy of pick all the forwards, then still manage to get really good defenders, while I'm going to have to pick some third rate right winger has clearly won.

It certainly seems to have turned out that way, even though it sure as hell wasn't my plan going in. I actually intended to pick Toure and Vidal/Pogba 3rd and 4th, but went with Lewandowski on an impulse. The only real "strategy" I had in mind was picking Alaba and Alves 5th and 6th, which of course you promptly ruined.

And I don't know about that bolded bit. There are still a couple of good RWs available atm.
