Silly dismissal. Big opening for NZ now until the close. Need to crack England open on the back of that run out.

Poor that was, pressure being built because no strike rotation and that.
Good point. What is the exact stat/number? It is stated that the chance of a wicket dramatically rises after 3 maidens in a row. That wicket came after 19 consecutive dot balls.

Good confidence from Bell that, he looks so good using his feet. Bell looking to change momentum a bit, if it comes off would be great but not sure it is 100% necessary.

Ballance 24 of 26 runs in boundaries 52 dots. Needs to start milking ball more, he has so few scoring shots. Add in a maiden to Williamson.. I know he scores runs but pressure on partners is not a good thing.

It is? He's never put together any meaningful run if truly great form except maybe 2010-11 I think when him and Pietersen ****ed us up good.
Indeed. Ian Bell strikes me as the sort of player who has always done just about enough to stay in the side without ever really kicking on and taking it to the next level (with the exception of the Ashes in 2013). In addition, getting rid of him at any point during his career would basically send the message that no one in the ECB wants to hear, which is basically the fact that he is now a 11+ year running investment that is likely to only ever return face value at the end. That being said, I really do hope we dont see him wearing the colored kits again.
