Anderson is definitely a better bowler than Southee atm. But the Southee of June 2012 to June 2014 was a substantially better bowler than Anderson during the same period.

I was going to preface the statement with excluding Andersons golden years but couldn't be bothered with it. Nah Southee is as good as Anderson these days. He isn't exactly at his best at the moment but has been gun for a few years now.

Won't replicate Anderson in 2010-2011 though

Southee comprehensively out bowled Anderson in the five tests two years ago and did better for the next 12 months or so. Anderson has had a bit of a revival in the last year or so though.
