Rahane probably has the best away average among batsmen who had their debut in the last 7-8 years (including Warner, Smith, Kohli, and also Williamson before this test IIRC). And his 4 away series have been in SA, NZ, Eng and Aus.

If he doesn't do complete justice to his talent then he'll end up having a career like Mark Waugh.

Otherwise, he'll be better and for a substantial period he'll be known as the best batsman in the world.
I recall that when Pujara got started he was going to be the world number one. Not necessarily a comment from you. But a comment from a large number of fans.

Never count out Che.

Anyway that's insanely flawed logic from you. Just because Pujara's career hasn't gone exactly how we expected it doesn't mean Rahane will go the same way.

He's a very shaky starter especially against pace. Don't see him having a great series but one good innings could mean a lot in his development as a test cricketer.

Like the look of both the bowlers making their debut in this match. Both got something about them. Hope they can stay fit.
Yea Wood has had plenty of injuries in the past but importantly he's not lost any pace. Hopefully won't spend as much time out now he's a bit older.

Wow. Desperately unlucky for Stokes. KW uncharacteristically loose all of a sudden.

Finally getting to watch this on tv. The ball's talking isnt it? Smithy already getting on my nerves
