Whew. Bowling.

Think this game may come down to Ballance / Root vs KW. If someone can anchor the innings against opening quicks, aggressive middle orders can prosper.

Damn, wanted them to bat first. Batting first and posting 400+ has been the foundation of our success in test cricket over the last 2 years.

5 lefties in the top 7/8 depending on where Stokes, Ali and Buttler (rh) bat.

You've got Sanga as your bunny, so come on down Mr Boult.

god it's good to have cricket on during proper cricket hours again though. 4pm tests are ok but noon starts are perfect

being unusually eager to bowl first is one of the hallmarks of bmac captaincy though

I see that Mark Wood is starting and that he got 66 in his last innings. What does everyone know about him?
He bowls fast outswingers. "Heavy ball" but doesn't get much bounce.

He's got a bit of a mixed action and gets injured a fair bit; I rate him quite highly when he's fit though.
