It's dire, having managed to go one-up on the pitches prepared for the first two tests. Given the positions in the first two innings of this match, this is one of the great 'htf did we manage to lose from there' performances. Possibly up there with the Headingly test against SA 12 years ago, which is saying something. It's not great though given the year WI had had.
Career one snuck below 40 as well. Shame.Stokes got his average for the series below 100 with that wicket.
Sorry, but if we have any aspirations of performing at a high level in the International game then you have to be aiming to beat one of the weakest opponents, home or away. How many of our players have performed at the levels you would expect of them? Had they done so, would we have won the series? Is that acceptable? It's cringe that he thought their "star players" would be missing. Shows he has very limited knowledge of the WI team if he thinks Pollard etc not being available would've somehow hindered them.
Why does nobody in the ECB seem to have a ****ing clue?
Pretty much this.Credit to the Windies, but England should not bother coming home after this.
Yeah, but that was because we picked Kabir Ali.It's dire, having managed to go one-up on the pitches prepared for the first two tests. In Brathwaite, Blackwood, Bravo, Holder, Taylor and a fully fit Roach they have more good players in the same side than they have had for years regardless of what happens to Chanderpaul now.Nice to see WI with new talent.
