They routinely do this with heel champs that aren't Lesnar, regrettably. Orton's last few heel world title reigns consisted of him losing on TV pretty much every single week.

RE Brock losing to Cena. He destroyed him and then Cena got lucky as I recall it. It kinda made sense with where Cena needed to go at the time. The HHH stuff was unforgivable though.
Outside of that and the Punk stuff for HHH. His reign of terror opens up a more interesting discussion IMO as that spell helped get two of the biggest stars of recent time over via the whole evolution thing. That doesn't make all of the booking right but you can't just say 'he hurt business' because look at all the money Orton & Batista have drawn over the years.

Nothing beats TNA victory road 2011. Nothing.
Saw the '91 Great American Bash mentioned (the one where the crowd were pissed that Flair left and nothing made sense), and New Blood Rising. Decided to check this one out because an nWo PPV seemed interesting in theory, but was destined to turn out terribly.
